Is this a new characteristic of the site? I've noticed recently that when clicking back in my browser (Safari on iOS and OSX) the pages on the site always refresh. Unfortunately this means I can be part way down a list of cars in the classifieds and it refreshes sending back to the top of the list. The same also happens in the forums but now it refreshes the contents so the list of topics can be reordered.

I assume the site has been programmed like this but I'm not sure what the value is of doing so?

Sorry if it seems like I'm having another whinge about the site, I'm just trying provide constructive feedback!

Pretty sure Safari on OS X does this normally on any site you're on. Annoying but i don't know how to turn it off!

I have the same problem with Safari 6.2 on OS X, only happens on Pistonheads and not on any of the other forums that I use.

It's the same on the iphone too. I assume you're viewing the forum board by 'whatsnew', if so then each refresh will update the page since you last viewed it.

It never used to behave in that, I'd like to be able to choose when to refresh really

Are you using the mobile site as I think it only affects that? I think I remember Racing Pete saying he's trying to get the devs who run the mobile site to fix it.

In all the years I've been on here, its always done this.

Irritating that it is, I thought it was normal.
