I think you hold ctrl down during whilst the computer does it's memory tests on the POST screen.

You then get a list of options.

Press and hol F8 as it boots.

With some computers if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message as the computer is booting. If this occurs instead of pressing and holding the "F8 key" tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the startup menu.

Switch it on, when it goes beep press F8 loads until you get a menu, choose whatever option you fancy.
