2 year AUC warranty
Discussion
I have had it on every AUC BMW I've bought. The first time the dealer didn't know about it, went away to check, then found out they could do it. Second time they seemed to already know it was possible.
It costs them considerably less to buy than it costs us so frankly even if you pay them at cost price for it you've done well.

I looked at a BMW AUC car recently in JKC BMW in Northern Ireland and it had a 2 year warranty as standard.
Apologies for the somewhat OT, but same here in Belgium: AUC (called "Premium Selection") always 2 years warranty, and sometimes with a specific campaign they do 4 years warranty too. After negotiating what I thought was a reasonable deal on both of my last 2 AUC cars (520d Touring and 730d E65) I asked for a 2 year warranty to get me to sign and in both cases (with different dealers) the answer was yes. It makes buying a AUC car almost as risk free as buying new.

If they had enough margin to give it away it probably because the negociator hadn't done a very good job so far... Swings and roundabouts...
Actually it means the negotiator did a good job - I made a specific point of making sure I negotiated it into the deal on mine simply because it gets both parties a better deal - for them to offer it, it cost them £500 and saved me £1000 on warranty renewal, so for both parties it was more beneficial *and* cheaper than offering a further say £700 off the price.Had it twice now once Stratstone the other Cooper - it was the final part of the negotiation I'll put down the deposit today if you throw in a second years AUC warranty over and above the 1 year.
Both did it without issue - so maybe I didn't negotiate as hard as I could have (had a screaming child with me and needed to close it out ASAP).
But it does make buying a used BMW >3 years old totally risk free/same risk as a brand new car.
