Hello I've just bought a Qashqai Tekna 2011 2wd car that runs on 215/55 R18 Tyres and Id like to get a set of winter steelies.

Can I just go to a Nissan dealer and check what size a Qashqai with 16" wheels sits on and copy the tyre size and buy that size for my 18" radius car?

Will my rolling radius be the same and will me speedo still work (?)

Thank you.

Amazing considering they're new wheels. They do tyre + wheel packages as well.

According to what others have said on this forum I believe that the speedo will be slightly out with winter tyres on. This is because they tend to have taller tread blocks so the rolling radius might be slightly larger.

If you select the 16" wheel on that site it should tell you which tyres you can fit.

Might be worth installing a cheapo gps speedo app on your phone whilst you have the winters on...

Yes.

Don't bother about the speedo, nothing to worry about.

Actually I've just noticed that the model year on the wheels on that site are 2002-07. The only other option I can think of is trying to see if a breakers has any from the same model year as yours.

That doesn't make sense since qashqai's didn't exist in 2002... Maybe it just means 2007?

I would give that site a ring just to be sure.

Thank you both. Kwik fit wanted £800 for 4 x 18 inch tyres so I thought there must be a cheaper way. Think I can get steelies any good tyres for £600 and can change those myself rather than pay kwik fit £50 each time I swap.

I think the automatic answer to any thread like this from now on should just be eBay.
