Hi there, you have wonderful taste, although having bought a Ruby Black 56 Plate Coupe in July I may be a little biased!
And I can't see anything wrong with the roof, although those don't look like standard wheels.

Nice car, I also bought a ruby black coupe a couple of months ago. They are great cars, I was amazed by the grip in the dry (I did only come from a 306 though) they do tramline all over the shop on rough roads but apart from that. Also had a few strangers comment on how nice the car Is.

Fantastic car! Wheels are standard but with the centres painted if I'm not mistaken. Had mine, in silver grey, for nearly 4 years now. Will be putting it up for sale soon sadly. Is yours still on runflats? Taking them off made a massive difference to the ride comfort and tram lining of mine.
So to answer a few questions,
The Coupe is apparently better in the corners than the roadster due to weight difference and car flex but to be honest the difference is marginal. I'm not a fan of the looks of the soft top hence I chose the coupe. I just love the styling. It reminds me of american muscle car, ford capri, Datsun 280z. A great shape for cars in my opinion.
They are the original 108 alloys but with the centres black. I'm not 100% convinced by them but time will tell.
Tramlining is a very common issue with these. Its mostly due to the run flats (I still have them but will be getting rid of them as soon as they need changing). Suspension upgrades help as well. The OEM springs fitted to the rear are prone to breaking (about 2" comes off the bottom). You can get some decent lowering springs for these for only about £40 more than OEM and it can transform the ride.
I haven't done the sound mod yet but I'm thinking about it although it already produces a lovely tone!

if you lower it it will scrape on everything - mine does
I removed the foam in the sound gen, got a gruppe M intake and an eisenmann exhaust.... lovely

How much did you drop it by and did you change the shocks too or just the springs? I removed the foam in the sound gen, got a gruppe M intake and an eisenmann exhaust.... lovely

I do like the CSL's but I'm also a fan of the tiger claw from the x5. Check this out, looks spot on if you ask me.

Same. If you told someone you were going to put X5 wheels on a Z4 they’d tell you it would look ridiculous. I also thought the same and then I saw this guys car. Yes its lowered on adjustables and I think has a couple of wheel spacers but the look is awesome. There are loads and loads of Z4’s on CSL’s but I think only a handful on Tiger Claws. I know car modifying is supposed to be individual taste etc but this guy has nailed exactly what I want so I have no issue with copying his style. Fantastic looking cars! I used to walk past one regularly, but that role and need to park there has changed. I used to gaze at it from both sides of the road. It was on a one way street and I think the time of day I passed it it was always parked nose facing me so I didn't get to creep up on it from behind.
That groove in the roof that gives a Zagato like double bubble effect aids aero and reduces crosswind push? The hard top on the MR2 Spyder has a similar feature.
I am not sure about those X5 rims. They fill out the arches nicely. I'd like to see more images please. From that sole photo they seem a bit too fussy. They're a nice design and give a suitable muscle car like look but I think the looks of the Bangle designed Fiat Coupe also works better on simple wheel designs.

OK now I look closer I realise they are 108's - I'm not a fan of those but they definitely look more distinctive with the black centres. Have to agree though that those X5 wheels look even better.
Wills2 must have my car's twin - mine is Ruby Black with the same wheels (135's I think).
Roundozo I see you are in Hampshire - depending on which part I may see you about as I am just over the boundary in Sandhurst.
I have read that some of the newer designs of run-flats are much better than the Bridgestones that they all seem to have on them - might try something else when I need replacements as I would prefer to stick with run-flats.
