Hi,

I am asking this for a friend really, he is wanting a Double din or single dip (flip out and up) car radio that doubles as a OBD reader and to show things like Speed, Boost and other OBD readings.

I have look into this and from 5 mins of googling as far as I can tell there isnt a "Plug and play" radio to this description and he would need to "Root" an android based head unit and get torque pro (this is still an option, if anyone can give advice that would be great)

can anyone shed any light, is the possible, has anyone done it before, he wants to retain as much of an oem look on the dash as he can, so doesnt want boost gauges and what not all over the place.

Thanks.

You could probably get an android one and a bluetooth dongle and run something like Torque?

Pioneer Appradio and the Dashcommand app could work.

These guys sell Chinese Android based head units - you can connect to the Google Play Store and download Torque, then get a bluetooth (or wired) ODB11 dongle and off you go.

I have no connection with them except the HU in my ZT-T was supplied by them (I think) before I bought the car.
