Why so slow??

Sorry to be a pain, but, why are some threads so painfully slow to open? I have a 1meg connection so am used to an instant response, yet over the last few weeks or so this site seems to run slower and slower. I have to wait over 30 seconds for a thread to open.

Apologies for being impatient but it never used to be this slow.

Not sure. I noticed it yesterday and am investigating.

I've always had the occasional thread that just won't load first time, keeps waiting for eternity. But then i'm one of hte annoying people that opens about 40 threads in one go and reads them all after.
