Fooking ste here too, loads of SQL database errors, combined with Speedtest showing 0.5Mbps download speeds; thanks Demon.

It's practically unusable tonight. Loads of timeout and SQL errors, I've lost several posts due to the page timing out on submission - I couldn't be bothered to type them out again so they're lost.

Something is clearly very wrong.

As the chaps above have already stated, it's very slow tonight. Perhaps the slaves..I mean 'volunteers' need beating a little harder!

Frustrating.

Interesting how the database user and password is provided on the error screen too.

You're right it isn't - I obfuscated it.

I can let you have the actual details if you want?

The forums database server has thrown a wobbler overnight and we have eventually got the thing up and running now... apologies, we are still investigating what caused it to go mental.

As to the username and password in error messages, I am investigating how that has happened now - though without knowing the IP of the database server, and having a pipe into the DMZ there is little that someone can do with that information. But we have changed it regardless.

We are still working on the classifieds side of the site and the new homepage which are being affected by the database also.

Similar here, been like it since at least 23.00 yesterday. Also I can't click on "General Gassing" or "The P&P" and see the latest posts for all sub-aorads in that group, I have to go into them separately.

So, who upgraded what? wink
