Basic alignment I would have expected £20-30.

I paid £25 to have the front wheels aligned after replacing a front suspension arm. Don't go to quick fit, they bend you over backwards.

Find somewhere that does laser 4 wheel alignment might cost more but far better. Bosch garages seem to have the kit.

£75 sounds right for 4 wheel hunter alignment, but way way over priced for basic. I pay £15 for a basic alignmemnt

Laser alignment at a place local to me is £44, but if any bolts and adjustments things are sized they start charging £35 an hour for the work to allow them to do it.

As above, find somewhere with a Hunter rig, pay the money and get all four checked and corrected. Doing only 2 is only half a job, could easily still have alignment issues causing uneven tyre wear and/or safety issues due to decreased contact patch at the other end.

Go there, stick in your postcode, find a place, get it done, job jobbed. This really should be basic annual maintenance IMHO.

Even with a Hunter machine, the person using it might not know what they're doing or can't be bothered to get it exact.
There is only one place that I have been completely happy with, and that's Wheels In Motion in Chesham, Bucks.
My SAAB only needed a slight adjustment, but the difference was noticeable. This was after having the alignment checked and adjusted at National tyres just a week before.

cheers for the link
it is something i get done when i have my tyres replaced and they have just been done so hence im asking. tbh it should just be part of getting tyres replaced and checked at mot/service time

I paid £46 quid at the weekend to get 2x wheels balanced and the alignment done. Sorted a little vibration out wonderfully after Audi stuffed it changing a TPMS sensor.

Up to you when you do it, with my previous car I used the same garage for servicing and for alignment so I just got them to do it when it was getting serviced. I use a main dealer for servicing just now (to keep the dealer history up) but I use the local place with the Hunter to do the alignment. I'd say once a year was probably sufficient depending on your typical mileage, type of driving and local road conditions.
