Apparently, there has been an incident involving a military aircraft near to where I live. I'm at work 25 miles away. Does anyone on here know of anything?

Thanks.

Could be an F15 that has gone down. Fingers crossed for no casualties.

It was an F15, just left the area and drove past it.

Newspapers are all over that. smile 'Can we have your picture mate?'

Are you swinging past there on your way home?

I work Sleaford way now so not on my way through.

Not this evening. Lucky that there's only fields to hit out there, you'd be going some to actually hit anything solid!

Latest I've heard is F-15D but only one person aboard, who ejected safely

Hang on there. A local news radio station just confirmed it was a lucky escape as it was near a junior school. yes

Lucky escape. Don't forget that. smile

Oh yes, windows and doors must be kept shut. I presume that is to stop any further aircraft from falling into your house.

Which probably smells similar to what was emitted from the pilot's bum. smile

Apparently there's a 'chute hanging on power lines. Sounds like a very lucky escape.

From a friend living near by,

They've been acting the goat all afternoon, not surprised it ended in tears.
