Hi all,
Need a new oil pressure sender unit.

From TVR dealer, 55 quid +VAT

Anyone know if the Land Rover one is the same or any other cheaper units?
Cheers.

Mine was £37 plus VAT, plus carriage from TMS, total about £48 (for an early car).

I think there are several types. I reckon you'll be lucky to match it up with the right Land Rover part.

Thanks Paul,
Just had a price from Land Rover, there are 2 types but can match to the LR engine number - both are, wait for it.............

.........£3-95. A tad different to 55 pounds, but are they interchangeable.

Will TVR really have altered the senders, they look like sealed units.

£3.95 sounds like an oil pressure switch - not a sender unit that will drive a meter.

See:

Its cheaper & you get an integral pressure switch for free (if you ever want an oil temp guage it can go in the original switch mounting)
