Just about to purchase a set of Sottozero's for winter, and was wondering if I go for the 240 or 270 version and whether I chose the regular or S-2 versions?

A little confused here and hope somebody could provide some clarity.

Skinnier tyres are better for winter tyres.

I'm going to keep the same size as my summer corsa's just because I'm using the same alloys, but I'm not sure that's what the 240 and 270 relates to.

The 270s are the standard V12V winter tyres.

What is the difference, and is it a problem if I put the 240's on as I have access to a set.

(The only difference I can see is the 240 are V rated whilst the 270 are W rated, but V12V spec is V rated)

The difference seems to be in speed and load ratings. The 240s are V and the 270s are W

About to purchase these in the next hour, unless somebody else can recommend even better tyres for the next 6 months!?
