VXR8 passenger wing mirror removal

Hi guys, following a slight mishap this morning I find myself in need of a whole new mirror assembly, anyone have any idea on how to get them off? It's the passenger side on my 07'.

Dave bad luck, I haven't got the whole assembly but I do have a black wing mirror cup for that side.

Thanks lads! I appreciate the offers very much, and the video is very useful! I actually ordered new parts from the fish about 20 minutes after I finished abusing myself, just got to get the coloured bits sprayed in red. Was £150 all in

So, an update, easiest job in the world, took me 25 minutes to disassemble and reassemble! Thanks

As an aside, when the door card was off I found the source of an annoying knock I had. A trim removal tool had been carelessly left floating around in the void...

Used ones are usually about 65% of new cost usually in same colour as well
