Just about to leave for work (in MR2) and the alarm on the Noble went off - key fob no help. Turns out the battery is flat, get into car using emergency procedure and find the grey alarm thing doesn't work either. Eventually get enough charge to turn off via fob.
If anybody has any cleaver ways of turning this off (plugs/fuses etc) can somebody mail me (not post as a bit dodgy info to be in public domain)as I could not find a way.

As to the cause, how long have people found their batery lasts without a trickle charger being connected. Mine has one, but never needed it yet as has always started first turn of the key ?

Thanks Rob

I can't offer helpful advice on your immediate problem but would like to know the answer as well.

FWIW I took the decision to leave the Noble connected to a trickle charger from day one as I had so much needless hassle with previous cars that I thought I ought to get into the habit with the M400. Plus changing the battery on the Noble looked rather tricky.

Joust's recommendations on an appropriate charger were very useful btw.

Sorry, can't advise on your alarm issue but I start mine up every 7-10 days if not being driven and it fires first time!

BTW, do you have any gadgets running in your car (satnav, tracker, etc.) as these will drain the battery faster than you may think?

Shame on you for not driving it more, Mr Sherwin! (I can't leave mine undriven for more than two days at most!)

Martin.

I have a tracker, so maybe that's what's making the difference.
Suppose it serves me right for whimping out of driving it during the icy spell.

Agreed re tracker. The battery in my GTO3 will go flat within 2-3 weeks if it is not left on trickle-charger.

I've got away with 3 weeks so far in a GTO3 with navtrack ADR.

Of course you can't Martin, I expect you and the other ex-pat crims down there need to move house every few days to keep one step ahead of Interpol - a Merry Crimbo mate and keep on truckin! LOL
