European breakdown for my older car

I have a 1991 Renault 21 Quadra- and i'm off to the 'ring next week 
Breakdown cover, just in case, seems to be a problem. Everywhere that will cover it at all hides in the small print that recovery/repatriation is only to market value of the car which isn't very much sadly.
Can anyone recommend Euro breakdown cover that wont sting me if I have to use it? Prefer single trip, 4 days.

There are some which have a defined maximum value of repatriation - usually about £2k - regardless of value of vehicle. But £2k might not be enough to get a bent and non-rolling car from the 'ring to this side of the channel.When you think about it, of course recovery operators have a maximum cap at the value - why would they spend a couple of grand on dragging a dead shed half way across Europe only for it to be promptly thrown away?
But, as ever with Euro breakdown questions, the answer is ADAC.

Incorrect, they cannot refuse business from the uk as they offer full eu cover.I know someone who has just signed up from the uk with no problems.

Yes ADAC is like a European version of the AA but much better. If you break down on the ring they will cover the recovery truck fee if you send them the bill. They cover all of EU and adjoining countries + switzerland.
A mate had his old banger of a metro (worth about £200) recovered back to the UK from Germany free of charge. He had to find his own way home (luckily I was there and could give him a lift). In the uk they subcontract to AA or RAC, i forget which.
For a years cover it is 79 euros or thereabouts.
Email petra.leyrer@nrh.adac.de and she will sort it out for you (in english).
