I've just fitted a set of these LED sidelights that I think give the front of the car a much more contemporary appearance. They delete the spotlights completely, but I never used them anyway, and replace the sidelights with LED's. They also have the added advantage of incorporating radiator grills to help keep the leaves and other rubbish out. I purchased them from one of the traders on Planet 9 who is based in the USA, but it was a hassle-free experience and the product is very well made indeed. It is also quite straight forward to revert back to OE is so desired.

They look pretty smart. So, obviously you lose the fog light as well as the side light - I assume that doesn't cause any 'Check bulb' messages on the dash?

Did you install them yourself, or get a garage to do it? If the former, was it a pretty painless experience?

The LED's plug straight into the sidelight bulb holder so in effect, they replace the sidelights. No check lights and yes I fitted them myself. It took just over an hour and was pretty straight forward.

It totalled up to just over £200 in the end. Not that cheap but its a quality product and a relatively simple DIY job to fit.

Looks good .. I also like the grills. Do they cause any over heating? Not sure if there any after market ones made for the GTS...

It's too early for me to personally comment if there is any cooling issues, but they've been well tried and tested in the US for a couple of years now and there are no reports of any problems.

He only makes then for the Gen 1 Cayman at the moment.

Whatever the front of your car looks great. Trouble I (and everyone else with a newish car) have is the Porsche warranty ? On the Gt3 thread some are saying a Sharkworks exhaust mod doesn't effect the warranty others say the opposite, who knows....

Fair comment. Just the whole is it isn't it covered is a pain but a small price to pay considering what a great car the Cayman is.
