So you think you are a Petrol Head, now is the chance to find out if you actually measure up to that claim. Just take the test linked to find out.

Anything less than 80% and you are required to hand in your PH credential and leave by the nearest exit

Interesting variation of questions. I had to think about the imperial to metric conversion.

83%. Apparently I'm a true gearhead. I will admit I was tripped up a couple of times by the Imperial measurements and general American-ness of some of the questions.

18/18 100% Master Mechanic. Had no idea what a 'Zerk fitting' was but guessed.

72% for me.

I thought I did well because although I love cars I'm really not mechanically minded.

Very American. As above, Zerk fitting and using a 19mm instead of a 3/4 is not a major issue here.

Also I think they label their tyres differently!

Some true Petrol scores coming through, not an easy test though. i have to admit to a very poor 72% frown By my own criteria I have failed hehe

Same, although it was a US oriented quiz.

17/18. 94% - the gear ratios question threw me...

88% that'll do.

16/18 = 88%
The Zerk one was easy as there was a pic of it, I was thrown by the tyre size and gearing ratios, pretty predictable as I'm crap
with figures!

I gave up, I don't do imperial measurements and am not hugely mechanically knowledgeable.

Hardly a true 'petrolhead' quiz though; it's like saying that Hamilton's not a proper F1 driver because he didn't design the aerodynamics of his car or that a world champion gamer isn't a true gamer because he didn't write the code.

I love cars but I am not a mechanic. I'm staying either way.
