afternoon,

I'm after some small speakers to mount in each corner of a kitchen / dining / living room, hard wired, powered by a pioneer a616 (atm) prefer white to blend in and relatively sleek for the same reason.

predominantly music and films, room size is a nice regular 7.5 x 5 m and speakers are about 2.5m up the wall in each corner.

budget is relatively open, although don't want to go too far over £1k, would prefer to spend less.

thanks

not overly discreet as I do not intend having a sub unit...

I have a pair of Neat Iota. Very compact, superbly clean, crisp sound with a nice wide soundstage. A little limited at the low end due to their diminutive size, but they make up for it in other areas. Unconventional 'laying on their side' orientation. Like to be close to walls/wall mounted to reinforce the bass a little.

Another one worth mentioning is the PMC DB1i. A little larger, but with more bass to show for it. These are front ported with PMC's transmission line and purpose made wall mounting brackets can be purchased. Lovely sounding little speakers with plenty of punch and a nice detailed yet neutral sound.

Have a look at the monitor audio radius 225's really nice and shallow but looking and sound very good.

I can get most things though if you want a package / deal
