Driver's Door Mirror Repair

A crack formed in the bottom of the support, right where the grub screw applies pressure to the plinth which stabilizes the mirror assembly.
So I scrounged up another support off ebay, and another plinth as well. Getting the mirror off the plinth is, of course, the easy part. Pulling the mirror a short distance away from the car, I notice the power cords for the mirror motors. Then I turn the mirror upside down and notice the hex bolt attaching the top of the support into the mirror case.Three questions immediatly surface: 1) What's the easiest way to get the wires out of the way? Cut/splice or disconnect somehow? 2) Is there anything else being held in by the hex bolt at the top of the support? 3) Anything else I should know about attempting this repair? I had a simillar problem. I bought complete mirror from 2005 Volvo S80 and I changed all plastics to my AMV. The hardest was to unscrew the spring which combines triangle mounting- only that was different AMV to VS80.. But all in all I paid about 20pounds for volvo mirror when AMV costs 350pounds.

Electric regulator is working! I want also to change both glasses which shows blind spot on convex corner.
