150 Sports cars today, a sunny run, and a Lancaster ...

The Starbucks Coffee shop lot this morning was chic-a-bloc as people gathered for one of the last runs of the season. The track season is almost over too, the even the road runs will soon be finished. Still, the Canadian weather has not yet bitter, so the plan was to drive out to the Canadian Warplane Heritage where the Lancaster has now returned safely from her UK adventures and transatlantic crossing She is in excellent shape. It was nice to see her again, though she was inside the hangar. I had flown on her with another old friend a B-25 Mitchell years ago ...
Morning run was crowded as we got sorted out at Starbucks:

and a few of the endless personalized plates. $200 in Canada and you own it ...no strange and expensive plates here

The trip out was uneventful until we tried to get all the cars on the tarmac, so we had an hour to park and talk....

Eventually we got it done:

Lots of Ferraris:

of course, UK represented:

Touch of nostalgia for my late RS.2:

But I brought the RS.1 to see another old friend..the Mitchell I had flown in years before:

Inside the hangar was the other plane I had flown in ...Vera, the Lancaster, now home from her UK adventure.

Its not a large museum, but quite a lot of the aircraft are in flying condition:

A pleasant ending to the summer here. In a few weeks, its on the road, loaded up and heading down Route 66 to Arizona......
