After a Rubbish start to the day the drag track was opened at 3pm till 5pm due to the fog!!!!!

But we manged a few runs.......

Best Run

10.7
134 mph

I did get a few 10.8 and 10.9 but I need more practice, better conditions and time to Run the car.

Right Conditions i may have seen a 10.4 or 10.5!

Overall I am very Happy with the Result and if i am not Wrong this is the First 10sec Road Legal Merc in the UK

My previous E55 Estate Ran 11.1 and was gutted that it never made it into the 10.

Next Target is 9s.............

Wow very impressive time and speed!

What tyres and rims are you running on the rear?

I've been looking into smaller diameter wheels and drag tyres for my car , I believe they should make quite a difference.

Cheers, Steve.

Hi

Guys

The GLA did not do as well as expected due to the weather conditions mainly and also I don't think 20" wheels are the best for the drag strip lol.

The best times were 12.55 @ 110 mph

So we will re attempt this again in 2 weeks depending on weather conditions and I will source some smaller wheels from a A45.

Hope to break into the 11s .

Thanks

3rd gear Run we got 440 bhp with but in 4 gear run we got 430bhp but with more torque.

The tires and wheels used in the C63 were 16" clk wheels with hoosiers drag radials.

The A45 V2 map is circa 420/425bhp. Would you say the downpipe etc is worth the outlay on top? Is it noticable?

We have done around 10 45amgs on the dyno and we have seen around the 405 to 410bhp . The down pipe i agree is not cheap but it does help with quicker turbo spool and does give more power. We hope to be able to prove this on the drag and get the car into the 11s with the down pipe.

Once the ECU is fully cracked then the ecu tune and down pipe will make more power.
