Nigel Mansell got a six month ban a while back down there, but that may have been Somerset police.

Six month ban for 92 mph - this sounds excessively harsh, unless it was a 30 mph limit.
I think it's interesting to note that if you drive that slowly on some sections of the M25, you will have plenty of folks queueing up to overtake.
Haven't the coppers down there got anything better to do, or was it just that they fancied having a go at someone daft enough to spend 200K on a car ?
Why not spend 10K on a ordinary car and get there much faster ?

Perhaps a few of the magistrates children have been bullied in the playground? It is only a matter of time surely?

It's a discretionary ban.....ie: the magistrates have the choice...(often they do ban, but not in every case)

it was probably 92 in a 60, and the mag wanted to score some points as he was a Schumacher fan over Mansell...
