DTM and SuperGT switching to I4 turbos from 2017?

They're unifying to a 'Class-1' regulation for both series, so from 2017 no more V8s.

I'm disappointed, I saw DTM live at Brands Hatch and it was the single loudest and most spectacular motorsport I've yet spectated. The cars backfiring felt like being thumped in the chest! 4-pot turbos, even 600bhp ones, just don't have the same drama, to me.
