My new car which most of you will be thankful for, as many of you did not like my modified polo. This car is in the best possible spec it is a 2008 plate, has wood trim, cruise control and lots of other gadgets. I got it from a nice chap in Colchester who was the only owner of the car and it only has 56k on the clock as a result of this. The only downside is that it does not have leather seats and doesn't have the same spark that the polo had. It is a nice cruiser and is extremely comfortable and you cant tell your sitting in a diesel, the same is not to be said about the outside of course. It has nice alloy wheels and the car does look mean as. The only mods that will be done: Leather seat conversion, a re-map, DRL, change the headunit for a more fancy one, parking sensors, interior lights and maybe a colour change to pearl white. Will post pics once my phone has charged

I have just noticed this and i have just bought one. It is perfectly comfortable and does go round corners okay but it is a little boring in that department. OP don't bother doing all those mods, just work a little harder and buy a newer model.
A few years ago I had a 170bhp 2.0TDI A3, and after everything I had read on here I expected it to be rubbish in the corners...well I was pleasantly surprised by it really.
It was in the sport trim and on fairly sensible 17 wheels and I'd say it is was fairly well judged in the handling/ride department in that spec.
It wasn't especially adjustable on the throttle, but then again I wasn't expecting a 205 GTI.
Put it this way, it handled better than the bandwagon a lot of people jump on when you mention VAG stuff., on the road at least.

I will get some pictures up very soon, I love diesels and I love the mpg and the torque they give. Im only 19 there are not many insurance companies that will let me get a nice handling car at the moment. I am building up to it and in my eyes jumping from a Polo to an A3 is quite huge. The car is so comfortable to drive in and I love the looks.
