Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Discussion
Mod's sorry about the double post.....
I'm rather short of time tomorrow ( still need to get H.I.D's present
) & would rather like to be with TVR over the festive period...
So can the front offside exhaust manifold gasket (i.e. front 2 pots) be replaced without removing the whole manifold?
Tks in advance & Happy Christmas to all....

Earlier in the year Top Cats thought my manifold gasket was blowing took off manifold and replaced gasket it turned out to be a cracked manifold. I cannot see any way that you could just loosen the front two pods and replace the gasket as the manifold is all in one you would end up cutting the gasket to get it in and possibly distorting the manifold. Top Cats only charged about 2 hours labour for removal and replacement so is it worth bodging it/damaging it?
All done £10 gaskets as i bought a spare just in case i broke/bent one
Just over the hour i reckon, with the front four bolts undone i then released the Y piece clamp, the manifold sprung away from the head and the gasket slipped in!!!
If i wasn't so short of time today would probably have done the rear as well or all of them & lost the Cats
Tks again & happy
