Varies from car to car, but proper OEM suppliers are the likes of ATE, Brembo, TRW, Continental etc.

Eurocarparts have Pagid at very attractive prices, I know they're decent but are they OEM?

I would think that it's year/model dependant but could be ATE, from what I can see...

ETA: if you want to PM me your reg. (if it's for the A4 in your profile) I can probably find out for certain.

OEM would be entirely down to the individual program. We resource parts for each program for cost & technical reasons.

OEM might vary by year, too. Ie the OEM pad for a 2005 A4 might not be OEM for a 2006 one.

And if you do find out that the pads are, say, Pagid...

The ones in a Pagid box might not necessarily be the same as the ones in the Audi box.

If you want OEM, buy from Audi (a few dealers sell on eBay) or TPS.

If you just want something decent then there's no need to try and determine the OE supplier.

Oh and check the Audi fixed price servicing. Actually pretty good value for brakes.

hehe

Got to chuckle at those who smugly insist they only use genuine dealer parts on their car, when what the genuine part actually is depends entirely on how long it has been sitting on the dealer's shelf.

You do not say what model Audi but if it has an electric handbrake it will have been TRW.

OE is the original part, which depending upon the model range will be one of the top brands.

OEM is where a manufacturer does make for OE but not necessarily for that model. What it ensures is they are of the highest quality.

What you buy from Audi will be exactly what you would buy from TRW, they do not make two ranges but box accordingly.

If you PM me the reg number I will be able to tell you definitely what was fitted.

So there’s no difference between let’s say genuine OE VW pads made by TRW and Euro Car Parts pads also made by TRW?

Not that I'm aware of. Put it this way, I've fitted TRW pads from Euro Car Parts in my R8 and they are performing just as well as the OE ones I took out.

Yeah I would have thought the same to be fair. Always feels nice though, buying genuine OE parts or maybe that’s just me haha.

TRW pads have one standard, if it is OE it is the same in the aftermarket.
