I like my car, but.......
Discussion
I like my new car: Fiesta zetec s mk5. I wanted one since i was 17 and decided now the insurance was acceptable i'd scout a genuine one out.
so a few weeks ago i bought myself an x reg zetec s, lowish miles (80k), full mot, clean exterior and clean interior. its ran a treat in the milage ive done BUT and it is a BIG BUT its just too small.
so with PH'er and their first world problems what should i do?
everytime i use it i get out with a bad ankle, neck and back as it is just too small, also nice to hear if anyone has had similar issues when buying a new car.
fire away.

I see three basic options, depending just how much you like your Fiesta...so a few weeks ago i bought myself an x reg zetec s, lowish miles (80k), full mot, clean exterior and clean interior. its ran a treat in the milage ive done BUT and it is a BIG BUT its just too small.

1. Put up with it and carry on because you like the car otherwise
2. Investigate having the seat mountings modified to give you some extra room
3. Look into fitting aftermarket seats - may or may not help, depends on the mounting arrangement
4. Replace it with a bigger car
Option 1 solves nothing and is a bad idea if the car is causing you actual pain.
Option 2 may or may not be feasible, and if it is then it needs to be done properly, not a cut-n-shut job.
Option 3 may or may not help, depends what is available in the way of replacement seats and mountings. Likely to be expensive too.
Option 4 is the most sensible, but means getting rid of the car you always wanted.
I know the obvious answer is too replace it and is probably the only feasible option.
was just wondering if there was any solutions.
I don't know what to replace it with I think the most sensible option would be too buy an ordinary car with cheap insurance until I find something I 'want' again.

where could i get the rails extended? never heard of it before.
i'm 5"11 but im a powerfully built type (19st), i had a fiesta van about 5 years ago (when i was smaller haha) and i found it needed half a click back so i suppose i bought this car foolishy or didnt do my homework into this problem.
my real issue with swapping cars is i only have this cars value to buy my next as ive just started new job and doing increased milage for the first 3-6 weeks.

When I had this problem I lost weight, also I found that bits of trim didn't come off in my hand as easily. As an added bonus the car felt quicker.i'm 5"11 but im a powerfully built type (19st), i had a fiesta van about 5 years ago (when i was smaller haha) and i found it needed half a click back so i suppose i bought this car foolishy or didnt do my homework into this problem.
