Right, I've got a nice job in Jan, filming McLaren testing their new F1 car. I'll be filming with a video camera, but for my own personal use I wouldn't mind taking along a medium format camera to play around with.
I was looking at the Holga 120 as a really cheapo starting camera, has anyone got one of these?

You'd probably be better off with something secondhand from the likes of Pentax, Bronica or Mamiya. Lots of pros have switched to digital and have the big old lumps depreciating rapidly in their cupboards.
An old Mamiya 6 would be good if you like rangefinders. I tried someone's Pentax 67 the other day and although large in size it wasn't very heavy - I didn't think it was any kind of brick which most people call it. They've been made for donkey's years, they're reliable, they give a nice big negative, there's lots of lenses and accessories and they look just like an overgrown SLR. Don't worry about dents and scratches.

Is this some sort of fraternity thing?
Depends if you're a BITC or VITC man Personally I like the hours set to tape number. But I don't work the things myself, just wave my arms about and point
heh, this will be recording to a MAV on super slow mo, no idea how the timecode works on that
No tapes though, all numbered clips (means I can delete the footage that didn't work so everyone back at base thinks I'm a miracle worker)
