Becker map pilot query

I'm picking up a new (to me) C-Class tomorrow and it's got the Audio 20 fitted and Becker mounting but no Becker module in the glove box.

Obviously the dealer offerred me one at £495 which is a bit steep so ive been looking on ebay and they all look the same so is there anything i need to look for or is it a case of one module unit fits all?

There are also loads on fleabay at around the £200 mark hence wondering if all modules are the same.

I believe you might be able to get a deal from main dealer or I'd go for the one on amazon

before I got mine MB I looked at one with audio 20 and was told £399 for the box from main dealer.

I got mine back off eBay in 2012 when I got my first SLK - it was 200 quid from Germany, brand spanking new, sealed etc. No problem at all. Back then MB were asking 500.

Paid about £170 on ebay. Not much risk at less than half the cost ...

Go for eBay/ Amazon, just do a bit of research/ speak to the seller beforehand. Great value for money way of adding Nav.

I spoke to the dealer when we went to pick up the car and had a good chat about the units.

So, I've bought one off ebay, £199, for a used one which the seller has upgraded with several bits (maps, danger warnings, alarms and stuff).

Should be delivered on Tuesday fingers crossed for then!!

I did exactly the same when I picked up my SLK in 2012, it was just over £200 from a guy in Germany brand-new in the box. I actually took it with me when I went to pick up the car and the dealer slotted it in for me ( although to be honest it was as simple as that, take it out the box and slot in the space in the glove compartment).
I wouldn't hesitate to buy one second-hand on eBay as long as the seller was genuinely good feedback.
My SLK Went back yesterday, Ivan hanging onto the Becker unit as I may end up with another one in a couple of months time.
