Tyre size help required...Please

I am looking for new tyres but I was told that I can fit bigger tyres than manufacture recommendation, so for example my Suzuki takes 185/55 R15 However is it possible to fit 195/50 R15? Although I am certain that this will effect the speedo, any help, advice??

Overall diameter 9mm less so not a big deal.

Hi. If you change to the bigger tyres your speedo will over-read by just 1.02 MPH at 70 MPH. Fairly accurate really.

195/50 is a lot cheaper than a 185/55 I'd imagine.
Don't worry about the speedo in that case the tyre is actually smaller not by a whole 9% but in circumference.
