Dear PH I am at a loss after spending hours staring at the computer sreen I have no idea what to buy ??

There are clues in the form of what I need it for but it doesnt help. Can you help me ?

Budget up to 2.5k
Prefer manual gearbox
Car is used for commuting to work and days out.I would guess at 6 - 7000mls per year
We have two small dogs but the wifes polo can carry them if need be
Any body shape considered except coupe or 2 seater
I love waftiness and luxury, comfort but I also like sportiness
I like good in car stereo but not a must
High mileage cars not a problem as long as condition good

Over to you what do you think.

I was going to suggest a BMW E46 330i but you'd likely need to look long and hard for a decent one at your budget.

I used to have a 9-5 Aero and I remember saying to the wife I would not be selling this if it was manual.

What about an S80 manual ?

Fit's everything other than Sporty - of which it's the opposite. S60 T5?

Alfa GT. Plenty around for that money, and with back seats you've got somewhere for the mutts.

In that case I had a S80 2.4 manual.. Not fast, but reasonably quick, and very comfortable. Fantastic sound system, and engine sounded good too.

Economical on a run. Mid 30's, and even saw into the 40's on one lazy journey.
