Hi chaps
Got a strange problem with the engine.
Its the petrol 3.0 v6 and it runs on std unleaded with what seems 2 ponies under bonnet,no guts above 3500 and tends to hold back and eventually gets to top revs. However on super unleaded its a different matter as the car then seems quite normal but...sometimes it still doesn't like that too much either.
Can't figure why its doing this, any ideas pleaseeees.
Also any one know where you can get these head units repaired(all in satnav ,tel, radio)as it sometimes forgets it got a radio!

Cheers

PS I know its a Peugeot and all that but it looks good and it was quite cheap for what you get.

Regards

How's your filters looking?

The 2.2 607s I had were sods for appearing to be down on power, then the scary "Anti-Pollution System Fault" message which usually instead of being what it intimated towards (dunno about you but to me that would mean a lambda/cat fault) was a clogged air filter.

Air filter is clean not so sure about fuel filter though, not seen it.The car has only done 47000.I wonder if some sort of good quality fuel system cleaner could help, maybe cleaning up any sensors it passes.

Yep, and I would also set about changing the oil depending on when it was last done. Apart from that there might be a MAF sensor that's playing up but that's about the limit of my knowledge of the V6s.

The oil was changed about 2000 miles ago with the correct specs.
