I have the premium sound and the iPod connector. All the iPod connector does is pulls you music stored on the phone, but what if you want to stream it issuing Spotify or another app? In my BMWs you play your music over the Bluetooth, which is way more particle then the cable IMO.

Is there a way anyone has found to play Spotify in there Aston? Is there a third party app perhaps that makes Spotiify appear as a phone cal to the car, and therefore enables you to play it over Bluetooth?

When I had my V12V I used to have a bluetooth USB dongle with a 3.5mm socket. Plugged it into the car USB point between the seats and bought a very short 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable, one end in the dongle, the other in the 3.5mm input into the Aston. Pair phone, set audio input to Aux and okay spotify.

Not the finest audio solution but it worked for me and was cheap as chips.

I think we've discussed a similar problem before and this was recommended.

I'm guessing it depends on the MY, but mine is a 2014 and I stream Spotify through Bluetooth without any issues smile

Just open the application and plug your iPhone / iPod in.

The FF and RW controls don't work and the joystick or steering wheel but if you rotate the top right radio dial it'll change tracks (Post facelift cars)

Great, ordered the Bluetooth adapter anyway as I like not having to plug things in. Mine is a 2010 model.

I had to buy a lightening to old style adapter for my car/phone and the official Apple one is close to the same price as the bluetooth adapter. Its also a tight fit to get an iphone 6 into the armrest when plugged in with the adapter.

An old thread this but just in case anyone interested I decided to risk £8 - yep £8 on a Bluetooth dongle for a V12V MY10.
And it works - playing music via Apple and also from Spotify. It didn't work at first trying through Spotify but loading up Music it played find and then Spotify worked when I switched back.

You cant use the steering wheel controls or ski-slope buttons to navigate but frankly that doesn't bother me. Through the B&O system it also sounds better than expected - might spend more time in the garage now.

Paired with an iPhone XR.

I have a 2006 Vantage with the Bluetooth option. It plays Spotify from my iPhone without any issues at all. Just paired it as usual and load Spotify on the phone, it even brings up the track on the radio LCD display.
