Morning biggrin

Had some new pads on the rear and got the garage to rotate the wheels at the same time to even out wear but the wheels needed a good whack to get them off the hubs so I'm thinking it might be a good idea to get a proper laser alignment.

Can anyone recommend anywhere around Huntingdon/st neots/Cambridge?

Are places like ats and kwik fit any good? Not too concerned about price. I know it can take a few hours/be fiddly so guessing the £30-40 jobbies aren't a proper 4 wheel alignment?

Thanks biggrin

Giving the wheel a hefty clonk to break the seal of corrosion between the steel disk/hub and ally rim isn't going to be anywhere NEAR significant enough force to knock the alignment out - it's an order of magnitude less than hitting even a small bump mid-corner.

It depends how sensitive your car is to it. But really, with the forces involved in driving daily you'd be getting an alignment every time you hit a pothole. Have a Google for a tyre specialist near you. I can't help as far as St. Neots, sorry. Newbury I could!
