Following an acrimonious split 3 months ago, I don't have to consider anyone else when choosing cars. I'm mid-fifties, no mortgage, no debts, but only £20k income (company pension, part time supermarket job, self-employment).
My savings will just about cover a full makeover of my house.

I currently have 3 cars:

57 plate E61 525d
54 plate Z4 2.2
1992 Porsche 964

It's handy to have a big car when I need to pick things up, or give people a lift.
It's nice to have a convertible when it isn't raining and I don't need to pick things up or give people a lift.
The 964 was the fulfilment of a dream, and rising prices means that it's effectively free motoring. It's also fun!

I can afford to run all 3 cars - as long as I don't get any big bills.

I've been thinking that maybe 3 cars is too many, but can't decide which one to sell, or what to get if I wanted to cut down to just one or two.
Help!

I'm with the Mrs but we've got no kids.

We have four cars. Can't get rid of any of them.

Maybe you could chop the Bimmers down to three series convertible? But why? If you've got the room!

Not keen on 4 seat convertibles. Most seem to be a bit "wobbly" (converted saloons lacking chassis stiffness), and suffer turbulence in the cabin.

What's a 969?

Not sure why you don't buy another car...

Similar situation myself, just sold my GTV V6 and Saab 9-5 Aero, keeping my Boxster S and bought a Jaguar S Type R - two cars that cover all bases for me - apart from low running costs
