Hi Guys,

I have a Tissot PRC200 and the second hand has gone possessed!

It flies around the dial and cannot be stopped, eventually the battery has run out, i have had a couple of quotes at £125/150 plus VAT and parts, this scraps the watch in my view...

Do we know anywhere sensible?

Thanks

Is it a chrono or straight timepiece?

Either way the chances are that a spinning seconds hand will mean replacing the whole movement (ETA won't supply circuits on their own anymore) but you should have change out of £100 for that, all included.

Top shout to Joe (Variomatic) at Anglesey watches and Clocks, he sorted the faulty Tissot and serviced my TAG Aquaracer at a fraction of the cost i was quoted here in Birmingham.

I take it they got back ok then smile

Bear in mind that the Tag has only had the escapement / balance cleaned and re-oiled + reseal (what Breitling describe as a "maintenance" service for teir mech chronos) because the rest of it was in good condition anyway. Hopefully the timekeeping will match the excellent timing machine results in real life smile
