Another what car probably not the usual

Hi,

We are just about to move to a rural location and are looking for a cheapish (£3000) run around car with 4 wheel drive able to tow the caterham and be relatively comfortable on long runs. Consumption is not critical as will only be used on the odd occasion when it is snowing, for towing or when both of us need a car for separate journeys.

Reliability is key.

Only car i can think of at the moment is Rav 4

Subaru Forester.

1500kg Towing, solidly reliable , better awd system and I would think better to drive.

Subaru Impreza/Forester? Possibly a bit more interesting than RAV4's and the like.
