I am in the process of dealing with my late Grandmother’s estate and she has an E-reg Fiesta Ghia with less than 20,000 miles on the clock sitting in the garage. She had owned it from new and it hasn’t been used since 2007. I appreciate it isn’t going to be worth much but do you think that somebody somewhere might have a use for it rather than selling it for scrap? It's pretty much immaculate inside and out. It would be a shame to simply crush it.

Thanks!

It's probably worth more than you think. Stick it on eBay and see what happens.

Some people lap up the nostalgia surrounding cars like these, probs get a bit for it on eBay. Good advert and a few good pictures.

If you're near-ish me I'll pay a bit more than the scrap value for it....

Have you thought about contacting KFG classics? This sounds right up their street.

I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, just always take a look at their cars on retrorides

I could do with that, depending on condition

Never underestimate the value of an old Ford.

Some classic car dealer will give that an MOT, polish and put it for £1995 with a very wordy romantic advert.

Easy money.

Sounds like a good shell for someone to make a track car from! Sure someone would want it and they'l give you more than scrap. Always nice to keep these old cars going too.

If you can't be bothered dealing with it, sell it to one of the vultures here trying to buy it from scrap + £5.

If you're looking to maximise your return, wash it, take some good photos and stick it on Ebay with a well worded advert.

I'd love an old Fiesta (E reg is too new for me - KFG have a red V reg that is perfect) but can't afford it for something I could just keep in the garage to look at and wax nostalgic about.

I'd do it up so it was exactly like my first car.

However I wouldn't drive it; no way am I driving round in a bright red 1.0 Pop+ with XR2 wheels, RS spoilers and bodykit, quad Cibies and one of those "trailblazer" "Fiesta" things in the back window. Still want one though getmecoat

Well I'm in Worcestershire but I might go down the line of listing on Ebay. I dont want to be greedy but equally I dont want to just get shot of it if it is worth something. Presumably there will be a bit of work to do to get it roadworthy again as it's been sat for seven years.

Ship to Australia for it to be probably the only one in existence? (Probably a stupid idea).

If the shell is still solid then someone will pay good money for it to reshell a track car or xr2.

As others have said do not underestimate the value of old Fords, nor the nostalgia for them.

Take a look at 4 star classics, they may even be interested - if you don't want to deal with the hassle, understandable under the circumstances.

But please if you can avoid it don't scrap it, if only to keep what I suspect is a rare car on the roadsmile

Cheers

I would be happy to come rescue it (email sent).

If you plan on selling it yourself best thing to do is get it running (new petrol, oil, plugs) and put it on ebay with a detailed advert, plenty of photos etc.
