Seatpost fitting

I'm fitting a dropper post to my MTB, per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtVtTd7iQzk

About a minute in to the video it refers to friction paste. I've searched for this and the results come back as this: Shimano Anti-Seize Assembly Grease or this: Tacx T4765 Carbon Assembly Paste.

It's an ally frame and seat post, which is the right substance to use?!

Just a light smear of any old grease will do. Remember to take it out and clean/re-apply it every now and again though.

You only need friction paste for carbon components really.
