So.. my friend has had his license 6 months (he's 35, started driving late), now... he got caught by a traffic light camera jumping the lights, BUT he also sped up while driving through the lights and on the letter he's received it says also doing 37mph in a 30mph zone (in addition to the traffic light offence), my question is; will he get 6 points and thus have to retake his test or will it just be classed as one offence and 3 points?

Cheers

Probably better asking in SP&L but I would think there are 6 points coming his way.

Typically just the red light offence.

I got done going through a light at about 48 in a 40, and just got a safety awareness course for the red light, nothing for the speed. Unless it's clearly identified as 'a breach of the speed limit', I think the speed recording purely for informational purposes.
