It was derived from the S3 chassis but has many differences, a few include the rear cage, the area above the rear wheel arch, the front cruciform and of course the large high engine bay diagonals. Which of course make the torsional stiffness significantly better than a regular seven.

You also have the 'toblerone' in at the sides to.

Hi
From one 21 owner to another
Where is the rest of the car? Who did you buy it from? Do you have the removable tubes fron the pyramid to the "flying braces" at the front?
There are several 21s in Geremany. Urs bought one when they were new, Jochim has two (he might have sold one by now), Wolfgang has one and I am fairly sure there is another.
The best place for information and answers is www.caterham21.com
Also remember that Arch Motors (original makers of the chassis) have all the jigs and drawings for the chassis. The UK owners have the other moulds in safe keeping.

I´m not a owner of a Caterham 21 . Sorry for my fault but I look for comparable projects.

We dont need any data from Arch. Not that they are not fine. But we are also producer and rebuilder
and have allready some chassis tools for caterham, tvr, austin healey, daimler dart, trident, jaguar etc..

Someone told me that the chassis of the Cat21 is closed with some othe model of caterham.

Regards

Gregor

Hi Gregor,

I think you are asking if another Caterham uses the 21 chassis- no need to apologies for your English :-)

If that is the case then- No, as far as I know the 21 chassis, while based on the standard Series3 chassis is unique to the 21 and only used in that car.

Nice work by the way- looks like an excellent reproduction from the photos, how did you come to be building a 21 chassis?

Hi !

parts of the front section of the S3 looks like similar with the C21. My fault to check this question not to
begin. Ok...near to unique....but a draw of the S2 would be intersting for me. The front-section is allready
40% and the other 60% not more to far to build two chassis.

OK....alltimes if we start a project we see around what is wrong or that it need to be bette, nicer....and so
on. After we make product of it and mostly this in stainless steel or polished alloy .......
