Coolant fan stopped working

Got the old girl out yesterday and brought it up to temp on the drive as usual.
Then i noticed that the coolant fan did not kick in.

My car has a dash mounted overide switch to the fan and this is not working too!!

I can hear a relay switch when i put the fan switch on but the fans dont cut in??

Anyone help??

Could be a bad earth at the fans or dirty connections. Check to see if there is voltage there when you switch the over ride switch on.

Agree. Check the connector first - the one on the wires coming from the fan. If it's the earth you're likely to have problem with the lights too as they share the earth. Check your wiring hasn't been 'upgraded' for instance with a fuse for the fan after the relay.

i have checked earth from fans and its ok.

I have no power coming down to the fans, i will have a closer look.

Makes me wish i had bought a laptop for the garage

Obvious, I know, but you have checked the fuses.

I have some info that points to the 3rd fuse in from the end (checked both ends)
Am i safer just to check the lot?

Probably worth checking the lot as you Just dont know with these cars Should it be a 40A one? which i think is orange if its any help.
If its the relay then that I believe(well at least on the 500 ) is in the wiring loom.

Take it you looked to see in the Bible for possible lay outs?

Checked all fuses i could find and swapped relays, shorted the sensor for fans, still no power,
i give up, its going to an auto electrician, exept now the alarms playing up and wont de-imobilise!!!
Thats a Clifford 600 and has never been any trouble before !!!!
