Can someone post a picture of the connections/colours on the Arrow type wiper switch (I am not at my computer ATM, as I know I have a JPG there) please, so I can forward a link onto a guy to help him out.

What had happened was...the guy purchased the Arrow switches from the USA and thought he had built the switch correctly, AND then, in not trusting his own drawings for the wiring, swapped the wires about trying to get the wipers to work.
I did say a while ago that the Arrow switches from the USA (which in effect give you new fronts and internal springs), because you retain the back assembly with cleaned contacts and the original 17.5 amp lucar female connectors...I am away from my computer which has my images.
He has sorted the issue.
Thanks.

Any idea where I can get a wiper switch from? It's the only switch I've not got.
Sorry for jumping in. Cheers.

I thought I saw Andrew reply...are you saying that the one he supplied does not work? OR?...I have not got one here and now, but I can put a totally new switch together, timescale would be a few weeks (as I need to import parts) to combine with parts that I already have for that particular version of the switch.

The OP was sorted, I posted a link to the thread for him, which he thanks people for...If you want a NEW switch then, PM me, (as I said, the parts to create this switch are needed to be purchased in from the USA, and will take that time to get them organised) as recently I have used all the stock up rebuilding ones for other customers.

Andrew(=Prideaux) advised me you were looking for a 2 speed Arrow wiper switch as I purchased spare switches ex his Tuscan a few weeks ago. My intention is to go through all of my Vixen S2 dashboard switches over the winter and replace them with whole ones or rebuild them with parts from those from Andrew. At the end of that exercise I should have some spare but that will not be for a while. Sure Adrian wiill sort you out.

The reason I am doing this is that my dashboard started smoking earlier this year. That was eventually traced to melting spade insulation on the back of the panel mounted master light switch. Poor contact within the switch overheated the terminal. Solution was to exchange this switch for the reversing light switch and wire the lights from that through a relay. This relay in the light circuit is an absolute must if you are still running the twin 35 amp fuse circuits and old switches,as I am.

Steve
