Just scanning the used cars for a family wagon and stumbled across some '04 Mitsubishi Shoguns and noticed they are fitted with Radio-Cassette players as standard!??

WHY? Does anyone use Cassettes anymore? I threw mine out over 10 years ago when they went mouldy from sitting in the shed for so long.

Any other cars they fitted these in in the 2000's?

Yep. Lexus and Toyota were still fitting cassette players to cars of that age.

This is from an '08 RX400

Quite a few lower-spec BMWs in the early 2000s too. Even in higher-spec models that came as standard with a single CD, if you ordered a 6CD changer you ended up having to revert to a tape-deck up front

Oh.
You missed out the remainder of that sentence stating that I threw them out due to them having sat unused in the shed mouldy for so long!

I took delivery of a brand new Mini in 2004. Cassette player fitted as standard (plus a CD changer).

I had a 55 plate x-type. DVD satnav and a cassette player. Such an odd combination.

My car came in 2001 with a single slot CD. Ine of the owners changed it to a multi changer and Cassette. As said above, great for the iPod.

My BMW, albeit an older model, has a radio/cassette & a CD multi changer fitted as standard.

I use the tape player regularly. Still sounds good.
