I've always believed in buying rather than leasing but am very aware of the pros and cons of both and would never take a negative view on others deciding a lease deal is the best way to go.

Am particularly convinced that my ex partner should lease. We are still on good terms and we turn to one another for advice and reassurance. She's always believed, like me, in buying a good secondhand car and paying it up. Once owned outright she buys another using the equity of her car as a deposit to keep repayments low. She's been very lucky as far a breakdowns are concerned (that or Peugeot 206s and 207s aren't nearly as unreliable as a lot of forum contributers would have us believe) but is always wary that she could, one day cop something big. She's just asked me if she should lease a brand new Toyota Aygo that's on offer at something like £99 deposit and £99 a month for three years. New car, reliable, affordable and perfect as a Mum's taxi and commuter.

I have some doubts but fixed budget, low finance and running costs, reliable, dependable and safe family transport make think this deal really suits her needs.

What thinks the forum.

At those figures it appears to be three years of low cost, worry free motoring. I presume the mileage limit is not an issue?
