Number Plate Light
Discussion
I've often wondered if the number plate light on my 2500 is the correct type.

It doesn't fit well in the oval shaped recess in the rear panel but seems to be the type fitted to most 2500s that I've seen photos of.
Photos I've seen of S4 Vixens and presumably late S3s also seem to have this light.
S1s, S2s and 1800Ss seem to have this type fitted.

I'd be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for all your replies. It's now looking like the change over to the smaller light took place part way through the S3 production run. I had no idea that there are two types of recess. If mine is correct as is then I think I'd best leave it alone. Thanks for your kind offer Andrew, although I prefer the looks of the larger light I don't want to mess with the rear panel (and it will be a mess if I have a go at it!) The smaller light looks very similar to what's fitted to the Granturas. Does anyone know if they are the same?
Chris
