So I (hopefully) will recieve some sedation for my next procedure.
Now I'm very nervous about this, for many reasons, so I've foolishly been trolling the net.
I've also been taking St Johns Wort for the past 15 years or so, I've tried stopping, and thought I'd succeeded until I was a quivering wreck in the corner of a room because someones cat had died!
Anyway, I've read that the sedation I may recieve can interact with St John Wort, these are Fentanyl and Midazolam.
So, does anyone know how long it takes for St Johns Wort to leave my system?
I'm now going cold turkey before my procedure on the 12th November.

Thank you in advance.

Personally I'd ask your doctor and/or the consultant who is performing the procedure + administering the sedation. Going cold turkey on the herbal Prozac may not necessarily be the best thing to do ahead of quite a stressful time in your life.
