which glue for metal to fibreglass??

whilst shutting boot possibly more firmer than I should have done the metal trim near the boot hinge (the glued in piece) came loose.

Just wondering what adhesive I should use to stock it back in?

Scrupulous cleanliness on the joined surfaces using Araldite sparingly has always worked for me. There may be alternatives others may suggest but various repairs to various classic fibreglass cars of this type have worked well for me. Cleanliness is essential best of luck?

One of the first rules of TVR ownership; Never slam the boot lid.
Everything is screwed into wood held in place by fibreglass.
Lower it into place by hand, then apply a firm push to click home.

Agreed.
The blue cap variant.
It takes longer to cure, overnight is best, but it will never let go again.
