collectors cars now :-(

makes buying a £85k 997.2 GT3 and the 4.1 engine rebuild look inviting now.
then enough change to buy a 458S
And still money left over !!!

All about collectors now and owning one of the 27 UK cars.

crazy how a 458 can make a GT3 even the RS 4.0 look like a Ford KA in a drag race.
Not that it matters but it is amazing how the RS 4.0 gets dropped by todays cars.
You can see why the 991 GT3 had to be how it is today.

There is also a timed lap with the same cars plus a GTR.

With an even more surprising result.

Who cares about drag race times ..... Zzzzzzzzzzzz

It's about how a car handles, how it makes you feel, how much enjoyment you get from it etc. Add exclusiveness and this drives up prices.

I know that's why I drive a 330 bhp Cayman R :-) and quoted "Not that it matters"

just interesting how a 500BHp GT3 can be dropped so easy from the 458 rear cam, nothing to get upset about.

todays cars are getting so silly fast now and you can see the 991 GT3 had to make a move on design.

the GT4 it seems will take over the driver aspect for Porsche if you don't have 350k to spend :-)

I also think it's ONLY about numbers (nothing to do with driving) when you can build a better car from a 997.2 GT3 4.1 for less than 1/2 the price.

Ofcourse we all love cars and we would all like a RS 4.0 in the garage.

4.0s are not about the cars any more, its a commodity like 27 ltd edition watches.....does not matter if the watch is any good or not, there's only 27 of em.....

If it sold the same morning as being advertised, I highly doubt any discounts were made on the price!

I met the lovely young lady who bought it on Saturday morning at JZM.

As soon as she saw it advertised she turned up and bought it with her visa card at full asking price. She is even thinking about tracking it.

looks like the blue one was a smart buy.....I did feel that the 991RS, would lead the way.......not 100% convinced that there will not be a numbered run to see out the N/As though, at some point.....

Yes black is what they are after.

These are still in demand, I wonder what the next RHD one will go for £375-£400??

I was going to test the export market at 500k, but thought it a bit "flat earth" at the time. A lot depends on what the 991RS does imv, one point I am sure of though is that it there is a lot of movement to the upside left in CGTs.......

I will email out later on a blk 40 Lhd.....

What can the 991RS possibly do to the 4.0RS in your opinion? 4.0RS is the last man gearbox. Isn't that enough?

not in my view, its more to do with the very low nos on the RHDs...the PDK-S is closer to a racing box than the stick...

I think the real question is what will be the level of supply of 991 RS.
E.g. if there are say only 27 991RS...can it really have much impact on the 4.0 market? Are there not atleast 27 buyers in the whole of UK and RHD planet who would rather have a manual 4.0 RS?...probably

I suspect it is possible that there are even more people who may prefer a PDK-S version...and if the 991RS supply is limited then they will all be hunting for the few examples available.
