Does anyone commute using a Segway?

Did a segway tour in Budapest in the weekend and thought it was absolutely awesome! You could ride in cycle lanes, bus lanes, pavements and just thought it was an awesome form of transport.

So are they really a viable commuting tool? They seem to be expensive though - £5.5k for a new one and there doesn't seem to be much of a second hand market...

Check out the airwheel, equally illegal however they are much smaller (unicycle) so probably less likely to be pulled
